T Ball Games
Athletics vs Yankees
Another great game! Both teams fought hard but somehow the Yankees managed to beat us by 2 runs despite a wonderfull batting performance by Megan Boyes and some great fielding from Callum Hunt who are my 2 star players of the game.
Cubs V Mets
The Cubs suffered there 1st defeat at the hands of the Mets but in a spirited display Martin Joy and Jale Vincent both batted well and were strong in the field
Stars for the day were James Gray with some excellent fielding skills and Ella Hamlin who got two people out straight away on first base. Score 17 - 20 to the METS!
AAA Games
Red Sox V Yankees
With Red Sox leading 26 to 20, the Yankees forfeited their last innings.
This result was due mainly to BRILLIANT fielding and steady batting by the whole team. Special mentions should go to Emily (guest) who completed 2 run-outs from centre field in the Yankees second innings and also a catch and run-out double at second base in the third. Best catch of the match was by Marcus in the Yankees fifth innings when he had to run forward to the edge of the diamond and then dive full length to reach the ball.

Yankees V Red Sox
Firstly I want to say that EVERY single Yankee is a hero today.
During the 3rd innings, with bases loaded Jack Clark scored a home Run!
Todays M.V.P Callum Budd scored his FIRST ever Run- I don't need to tell you how excited I was!!
Daniel Cannons stopped a run with a great tag by home plate and during the 4th innings James Casey caught a fantastic catch.
Yankees 17 Redsox 18
What an exciting game this was. The final score was Redsox 18 Yankees 17 after the Yankees batted in the fifth and final innings meaning the RedSox did not need to take the field.

There was some great play from both teams, with a total of 9 catches made by the Redsox players, the final player from the Yankees caught out with a tremendous catch by the Redsox MVP Christian Taylor Ferre allowing the Redsox to win the game.
In the first innings the Yankees were dismissed without scoring a run.
Jared Cox scored his second home run of the season in the first innings, bringing 2 other players home too.
The second innings saw more great play from the Redsox with three great catches made by Will Irvine and Zak Turnbull (2), again dismissing the Yankees scoreless. Five runs scored by the Redsox in this innings with only one man out. Great hitting by all players including our newest player in his first ever match, Max Dodd (No.7).
The Yankees made a comeback bid in the next three innings, battling very hard. Again the Redsox caught all three batters out. A great catch by Austin as catcher as he threw himself forward to make the save. Redsox scored maximum runs again with Austin scoring a run with a great slide into homeplate, narrowly missing the tag by the Yankees catcher.
3 runs scored by the Yankees in the 4th innings but their scoring was stopped by a great double play after a catch by Ally Kirkman on 3rd base was thrown to Jared Cox on 1st base. Redsox again scored the maximum runs.
Entering the 5th innings the Yankees really turned on the play scoring 9 runs before Redsox finally caught out the 3rd out with a magnificent catch by Christian Taylor Ferre.
During the game every Redsox player ran home at least once. 1 home run was scored by Jared Cox. Catches were made by Will Irvine, Zak Turnbull (2) Austin Harwood-Stamper (2), Jared Cox (2), Ally Kirkman and Christian Taylor Ferre.
Mets V Cubs
The second game of our season has again gone well for us with a convincing win of 19 - 11 with no need to bat the final inning's.
Yet again the team, pulled together with a blinding display of catching from the likes of Sammy “the hamster", Sam "Zoomie”, Elliott “Els”, Tom "podman" and second baseman Alex "smiffy"
Out in the field Jo " she who runs like a gazelle" , Sam " spreaders" , Max , Big Chris and Jamie " the home zone" were doing us proud by being everywhere at once giving almost total field coverage.
While all this was going on the infield duties were being handled by Josh "JK”, Andrew”the spaniel" and Shaban who together have formed a formidable and deadly combination.
Yet again the Mighty Mets have proved their worth, could this be the start of a winning season?, we'll have to wait and see, but if the dedication and doggedness of the team is anything to go by maybe you should all watch this space!!.
Thanks also to the parents that stayed to watch and gave much appreciated (and loud) support to the team, please keep it up.

Cubs V Mets
Cubs played there second game of the season against the Mets on Saturday and came away with there first win of the season. Cubs got off to a great start with 4 runs in the first innings and despite a really good effort from the Mets they held the lead till the end with the final score Cubs 9-3 Mets, notably the Cubs fielding was again impressive carrying on from last week display.
Both teams had key players missing on the day but this didn't stop the game being very enjoyable and also full of incidents that some of us had not seen before, thankfully Rob was on hand to explain, I would need a whole page to explain but in short we had, TRIPLE plays, double plays, obstructions, double hits, catchers interference calls, and players out in the dugouts.Well done to both teams and to the umpires.
