"The AAA Athletics tied the Yankees 30-30 in a well fought game that had a dramatic finish. The A's were one out away in the bottom of the sixth inning from securing a victory. In the bottom of the sixth, Kyle Scott Otto made two amazing unassisted outs at first base and added some fine offensive hitting. Kieran Foggarty also came through for the team with some timely hitting and key RBIs."
Red Sox V Cubs
From Red Sox
Despite two disastrous innings where Red Sox only managed to score two runs, the whole team played brilliantly to still be in with a chance in the final innings. A special mention for Edward who managed to take an excellent catch and also ran out the batter returning to first base for a double out.

Wow, what a game today between the Yankees and Athletic minors. I wana say that I am SO proud of the Yankees and the way that they played today. We only lost by one run, the kids all did their best and most importantly had fun. Special mention should go to Daniel Cannons (who was awarded the match ball) and Josh Barker for some fantastic fielding.

Top of the 2nd and the A’s are up and running with 3 runs from Callum Nash, Uilleam Lynch and Tom Johnston. Bottom of the 2nd and up steps Jack Clarke to strike the ball cleanly, only for Callum Nash at short-stop to pluck it from the air, he throws to Charlie Bonella at 2nd who then throws to Ross Williams at 1st, for the A’s 1st triple play of the season, and the crowd goes wild.

Bottom of the 4th and the Yankees edge in front with a run from Jessica Hart, but the A’s stay focused and get the 3 outs, with a great catch from Will Anderson at 3rd base to end the Yankees innings.
Top of the 5th and suddenly the A’s can do no wrong getting 7 consecutive hits, Callum Nash is first Home to tie the game again, followed by Uilleam Lynch, Tom Johnston and Alex Reed, to give the A’s a 3 run advantage going in to the bottom of the 5th .
Yankees start well getting Daniel and James Casey home, Callum Nash gets 2 unassisted outs at 1st. The game is on a knifedge, Matthew Griffiths hits a scorcher, but with lightning reflexes Tom Johnston gets the catch ending the Yankees hope of victory.

The Athletics continued their impressive form against the Yankees with a shut-out victory. Once again, they scored early and kept up the pressure throughout the game, with superb fielding from Rhyse Nash, Simon Lawrence and Ben Chambers proving decissive. Zack Chambers put in an excellent pitching display to close out the game in deteriorating conditions, whilst first ever runs were scored by Liam Collinson and Harry Garman.

My report on last Saturday's game was one of the best games i been involved with even better than last year, The whole team played well not just one or two, The game was an even game, The back up was excellent and the pitching as well. Batting needs to be a lot better as there was a few hits and misses. But well done to both teams.
